Our Holidays
Island Holidays offers relaxed holidays for small guided groups. Our group size seldom exceeds 12-14 (occasionally 16 but only if there are two leaders). We enjoy the destinations to which we are going in an all-round way, whether the holiday is billed as island exploration or birding or whatever.
Pricing
Our prices are fully inclusive unless otherwise stated in the fact box and in some destinations this even includes wine with your meals: this can make Island Holidays appear to be a little more expensive than other operators until you look at just what is included. New clients almost invariably comment on being surprised at how little (if anything) extra they had to spend and what good value the holiday represented.
Please note that prices are based on economy flights (where relevant): if you would like to upgrade please ask and we would be happy to advise you of the additional cost.
Sustainable Tourism
Island Holidays holds strong conservation ethics and believes that tourism should benefit not only the traveller but also the communities which we visit. To this end we select our partners – and our hotels – with care. On the home front we recycle everything in sight (almost!) and hope our customers and suppliers will not be offended by the re-used envelopes which they receive. Even recycling takes energy. We are also pleased to be able to help communities in terms of donating binoculars and telescopes or supporting local conservation charities.
Carbon Clear
Those of you who have known Island Holidays for a few years may remember that we used to offer you the facility to offset the effect of your air travel by making a voluntary contribution to a scheme called "Climate Care". I think we must have been ahead of our time - not many folk took up the opportunity and we spent an enormous amount of print and space trying to explain what it was all about.
Over the past year there has been an increasing awareness of the damage caused by air travel - indeed, by any form of transport (except perhaps horseback!) - and there are now a plethora of schemes offering a chance to offset this by investing in everything from tree-planting to research into less damaging fuels and engines. (You may notice that I'm not really the scientific type!!).
The time has come, therefore, to re-introduce such a scheme to you, our clients, and this we are doing with immediate effect. When you make a booking we will send you information about how the scheme works and advise you what the experts 
have assessed the appropriate contribution to be for your particular holiday. You then pay this to us and we duly pass it on. We'll be working with a different organisation - Carbon Clear - and you can find out more about them out on www.carbon-clear.com
We have considered including this in the initial cost of the holiday but decided that such matters are up to individual consciences and should not be imposed by the tour operator - strong as the temptation is! I really hope that we'll have a 100% uptake and that, together, we can do our bit for the environment whilst continuing to contribute to the economies of the countries we visit which would suffer sadly if all tourism were to cease because of the environmental cost of air travel.

The air holiday packages shown are ATOL protected, since we hold an Air Travel Organiser's Licence granted by the Civil Aviation Authority. Our ATOL number is ATOL 2725. Please see our booking conditions for more information. ATOL protection extends primarily to customers who book and pay
in the United Kingdom.
For those holidays which do not include flights or 
for which you have made your own flight arrangement,
we have a Total Payment Protection Policy with Travel & General Insurance Company plc.
