In the winter months tens of thousands of Cranes gather both in Kyushu in the south and Hokkaido in the
north. We'll hope to see "The Birds of Happiness", as the Japanese Cranes are known,
in their fabulous courtship dance as well as visiting the edge of the pack ice at dawn. Hot tubs
and Snow Monkeys add to the fun.

"Hornbill Heaven" is how Will Wagstaff, our intrepid leader, described the North Malay Peninsula when he got home. During our
birding holiday we will visit a variety of habitats including some of the impressive primary jungle that contains such an
abundance of wildlife including wonderful butterflies and dragonflies.
