Sri Lanka - it's back!

After its 9 year absence from our programme we're offering a new Sri Lanka birding tour for January 2015.

Green Bee-eaterIt’s been a very long time since the beautiful island of Sri Lanka featured in our programme and so it is with particular pleasure that we announce its re-introduction with a super itinerary especially designed to incorporate a bit of culture, some elephant and whalewatching and also some relaxation into what is essentially a birding holiday.

Starting in Sigiriya, our itinerary includes all the main birding and natural history areas moving through different habitats and superb and varied scenery and taking in a couple of World Heritage Sites and Sri Lanka’s first RAMSAR site. We’ll hope to see a significant number of the island’s 26 endemic birds and a good number of the total list of 492 species!

Our first tour for 9 years leaves London on 21st January 2015. The 15-night holiday, led by Andy Mitchell and local guides, costs £3,235 (sharing twin room) and includes everything except drinks and personal items. We’re very excited about it!
